The program featured an extended presentation of the singular Globe Unity Orchestra, the large improvising ensemble spearheaded by pianist Alexander von Schlippenbach. The program prepared us for the 9/20 appearance of Globe Unity in Upper Manhattan as the opening concert in the Columbia-Harlem Festival of Global Jazz.
I don't quite remember which records were played and in which order, but email us and we can do some digging if you need. I promise to take better notes next time.
